Rodney N. Shaw was born on March 1,1978, in Asheville, NC to Ms. Delores Shaw and Mr. Davis Kelly. He attended Asheville High School and spent many years working in the food industry. Rodney was known for his warm personality and caring heart. He loved engaging in long conversations with his friends and family, always bringing laughter and comfort to those around him.

On Thursday April 10th, 2025, Rodney peacefully departed this life. He was proceeded in death by his father Mr. Davis Kelly, his grandfather John C. Shaw, and his great-grandmother Bernice Williams Shaw.

Rodney’s memory will be lovingly cherished by his mother Ms. Delores Shaw, his brother Bobby Shaw, his sisters Michelle and Yolanda Boyd, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family members. Rodney’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm Friday, April 18, 2025 in the chapel of Western Carolina Mortuary Service. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service.
