Joseph Fernando Freeman

Joseph Fernando Freeman 60, of Asheville, N.C. Passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021. He was born February 9, 1961 to Mr. Joe Freeman and the late Mrs. Emma Jean Freeman, both natives of Asheville, NC.  He was the youngest son of six siblings.

Joseph was a graduate of Erwin High School in Asheville, NC. He was currently employed at Memorial Mission Hospital in the Environmental Service Department. He enjoyed landscaping and helping others.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by sister, Cheryl Lynch; brother, Wilton Pug Moore; niece, Cheree Lynch.

Left to cherish his memories are sons, Joseph Freeman and Lucas Freeman; 2 grandsons; sisters, Dollie Cotton of Asheville, NC, Dianne Thomas of Webster, MA; brother, Andre Freeman of Asheville, NC; nieces and nephews, Antonio Tino Thomas, Wilton Moore, Janice Moore, Payton Moore, Richard Moore, Andrew Moore, Lamont Thomas, Daviea Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Kimberly Thomas, Camille Boseman; great-niece, LaTara Hurst; several great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. We love you, you shall be missed, you shall forever remain in our hearts.

Acknowledgement of Appreciation:

Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat in a chair. Perhaps you sent a flower or fruit, if so we sat it there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words that any friend could say. Perhaps you were not there at all, but just prayed for us on that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you very, very much, for your part.

Revelation 21:4. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Public viewing will be from 1:00-6:00 pm Monday, December 20, 2021 in the chapel of Western Carolina Mortuary Service. Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, December 21, 2021 also in the chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
