John Thomas Casey passed away on March 21, 2015. He grew up in Bellmore, New York, and attended St. Barnabas School. He later attended Cardinal Farley Military Academy in Upstate New York.
John moved to California and then to North Carolina five years ago. He worked as a carpenter and later as a hospital building inspector.
He was quiet, but extremely intelligent, a committed Gaelophile with an incredibly active curiosity. He was passionate about music, history, and NASCAR racing…in short, he was a man for all seasons.
He married and was divorced after losing an infant child.
John is survived by his brothers, Dan and Bob; and by many cousins, nephews and nieces. He was a good brother. He will be missed.
