James Edward Brown, Jr.

James Edward Brown, Jr. (JB) passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, in Atlanta, GA. He was born on July 17, 1970, in Asheville, NC to the late James Chuckie Brown and Judy E. McIntosh.

JB was a resident of Georgia for over 20 years. He was employed with Peachy Airport Parking for several years. JB was a family man with a big heart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Otis McIntosh and Elmira Adams Jamerson, Edward and Mary Bell Gilliland.

Left to cherish his sweet memory is his fiancé, Chinika Lightner; sons, Shyqwan Logan, Kaleel Brown of NC and Tristan Lightner, Chase Lightner of GA; brother, Jamar Copney; special brother, Jason McIntosh (Mekia); sisters, LaTonya Brown of GA, Lakisha B. Howard (Eric) of GA, Skyi Brown of Mills River; special god sister, Meiesha James of NC; 1 grandson; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was also loved by many friends and great-nieces and great nephews.

Public viewing will be from 2:00-6:00 pm Monday, December 6, 2021 in the chapel of Western Carolina Mortuary Service and from 1:30-2:00 pm Tuesday, December 7, 2021. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 7, 2021 also in the chapel of Western Carolina Mortuary Service. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
