Christopher Pete Tasios, born August 30, 1977, passed away on June 17, 2025. He was 47 years old. He was born in Asheville, NC and was a resident of Buncombe County his entire life.

Chris enjoyed ginseng hunting and was really good at it! He also loved fishing, camping and hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Chris went to North Buncombe High School and played football since he was in grade school. He was referred to as the “Golden Greek” during the high school football games , a name that stuck with him his entire life. He worked at Dave Steel as a machinist.

Left to cherish his memory are his kids, Alexius and Braden Tasios, and his wife Tina Tasios.He is preceded in death by his dad, Pete Tasios and survived by his mother, Gail Tasios; his brother Nick Tasios, wife Valetina, and niece Neva Tasios; his Aunt Pat and Brenda and Uncles Randy, wife Brenda Swann, and Bo and Aunt Donna Swann; his cousins Tina Ballard, husband Rick, and Cindy Randall, husband Ron. Also many friends who were like family to him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 26, 2025 at the First Church of God at 20 Hanover St Asheville, NC 28806. Family will receive friends from 1-2 with the service following .
