Bernice Penland Obituary

Bernice Penland was born on May 15, 1932 in Gastonia, NC. She lived most recently in Asheville, NC at Laurels of Greentree and went home to be with Lord on February 12, 2020. She was preceded in death by her mother, Addie Smith, and her son, Jan Lamar Smith. She is survived by her twin sister, Jeanette Gamble, two grandsons, Cain and Todd Smith, three great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters. Bernice was a generous, loving woman and she will be greatly missed by her entire family.
