Arthur Clelland

Arthur Clelland passed away peacefully on December 25, 2020.

Arthur was born on March 23, 1933 in Shotts, Scotland. He immigrated to the United States after serving in the British Royal Artillery during the Korean War. He became a proud United States Citizen where he worked hard at building the American dream. He was a dreamer, inventor and very much loved by all of his family.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, brother, daughter, Margaret Darnall, and great grandson, Finnlee Vanderpool.

He will be dearly missed by his surviving wife of 40 years, Nancy of Hendersonville, North Carolina; his daughters, Diane (Steve) Rasmussen, of Palatine, Illinois; Linda (Will) Mackenzie of Independence, Missouri; step daughters, Linda (Bill) Tabbert of Austin, Texas and Julianne (Mark) Gmyrek of Hendersonville, North Carolina. His sister, Jean Gravelle of Phoenix, Arizona. Surviving also are his grandchildren and step grandchildren, Nicole (Nathan) Wiens, Fiona Darnall, Eric Rasmussen, Sarah Darnall, Joshua Darnall, Bill Mackenzie, Ashley (Nate) Vanderpool, Michael (Angie) Tabbert, Sean (Mollie) Tabbert, Marli Gmyrek, Annabelle Gmyrek. Arthur was blessed with 4 great grandchildren, Noah, Nina, Zoey and Rory.

A celebration of Arthur’s life is being planned for June 20, 2021 in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
